John holds 14 years’ business and consulting experience across the public and private sectors in Australia and the Middle East, leading large and complex international projects, including strategic planning, operating model and process design, operational improvement, governance design / review, curricula development, and establishment of training / project management academies and educational institutes.
His areas of focus include strategic planning, operating models, customer service delivery models, organisation redesign, performance management, and process design and improvement.
His recent work for clients, includes
- Designing customer service delivery model for government agency , developed a business case for board approval, and reviewed policies and procedures related to customer service delivery.
- Leading a team of 13 consultants to redesign a clients’ Corporate Services’ operating model and division’s structure, stand up a shared services centre model, and develop centre of excellence type advisory functions.
- Led a team to develop an ERC relocation and accommodation business case for NSW government agency. Developed and rolled-out a tailored assessment framework to assess functional relocation suitability.
- Led the establishment of a project management academy for the Ministry of Labour in Saudi Arabia. Developed the strategic plan, organisational structure, governance model, operating model, processes, and performance management framework.
John holds an MBA from Heriot-Watt University, a B.Sc. in Physics from Notre-Dame University, and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) from PMI.
